Chapter 6 Summary

An overview on chapter 6 is basically internet security. Chapter 6 goes into depth about some of the scams you may encounter while using the internet. One of the scams that stuck out to me was the phishing scam. Sometimes hackers may try to phish my mother. She orders a package from amazon. For whatever reason she always gets a message with a link from USPS. The message would say you incorrectly entered your information or there wasn’t enough information . DDos attacks happen often for video game developers. Hackers will send a ton of packets to try and overload a server, ultimately having the server go offline and prepped for maintenance. The best thing you can do against hackers and identity thieves is create stronger passwords, activate two factor authentication and only trust verified websites or have a relative look it over.
